Phil Yeates, more commonly known as Pip, joined Rangers in September 2007 and took over from Davie Henderson after he had left for SPL rivals Hearts.

He arrived at Ibrox with well over 20 years of experience in sports physiotherapy, having previously had a long-term association with Dunfermline Athletic.

In more than two decades, he worked for the East End Park club under no less than six different managers.

Included in that list were the likes of Jim Leishman, Dick Campbell and Jimmy Calderwood and Yeates had good relationships with them all.

His work in Fife was combined with over 10 years of national service with Scotland's senior team and he was with the squads at Euro 96 and the World Cup in 1998.

Yeates had also helped the Scottish youth teams before then and he attended the under-19 World Cup in Chile during a seven-year stretch with the age group pools.

His last international came during George Burley's tenure when Northern Ireland traveled to Glasgow and drew 0-0 at Hampden in August 2008.

Although he is no longer part of the Scotland set-up now, it was his work with Walter Smith when he managed the country's football team that led Yeates to Gers.

Since arriving at the Light Blues, he has played a key role in the rehabilitation of players such as Kevin Thomson and Steven Naismith.
