RangersMedia Football Club came about after it was first suggested on the RangersMedia forum by a member known only as "BigJonesy", that the websites membership get together for a kickabout. The idea was taken on board, driven forward by Jamie Adams and Alex Fulton, and on the 15th October 2006, at Glasgow Green Football Centre, RangersMedia FC played their first game. Fittingly the first match took place only 100yrds or so from where the real Rangers played their first ever match at Fleshers Haugh. Being a Rangers supporters team, the RangersMedia FC kit was decided to be Blue, White and Red.

Early Days
Alex Lauriston, took the reigns as the first manager and within a few weeks had formed the backbone of a team. Playing regular friendlies against Calder Utd, Snooker Loopy and Strathycruise it eventually led to the formation of the first every league in the early part of 2007. A tight league seen RMFC just lose out on winning after a draw with Calder Utd in the final game. Alex Lauriston stood down as manager in August 2007 due to family problems, and takes enormous credit for his work in the early days, helping turn RMFC from an idea into a fully functioning team.Dado and Chambo
After Alex left, David Henderson and Ian Chalmers led the team into a new formed league for 2007/08. The new league was an evolution of the friendly league the year before, with TFC Dynamo, Finnieston Athletic and RSAMD joining RangersMedia, Calder Utd and Strathycruise. The campaign was a disaster for RangersMedia, underachieving badly and finishing bottom of the league. However the team were unlucky not to make the cup final. Ian left the squad during the campaign, moving to Fife. David took over the reigns himself, assisted by now flatmate, Alex Fulton.
2008/2009
2008/09 was something of an evolution for RMFC. The formation of the GDSFC from what was that original league seen the expansion to 12 teams, and for the first time the team found themselves facing a season proper. After an excellent pre-season, the league campaign started with a whimper losing 5 of the first 6 matches. However, after a team meeting which marked a turning point, the team started taking itself more seriously and went on a long winning run, losing just twice more in the league to end up finishing 4th in the league.
Again the team got to the semi finals of the cup, only to fall short again. David Henderson stepped down as manager in June 2009, intent on going travelling in Australia for the next 12mths.
2009/2010
Alex Fulton stepped up as manager, and a disappointing season seen RMFC fall just short of league victory. A league campaign which seen a young RangersMedia side, leading the way for the most of the season, run out of steam in the last few games allowing Richmond Park to win the league on the final match week of the season.
A run in the League Cup disappointingly resulted in a Semi Final defeat to Richmond Park. In the GDSFC Cup the team were put against a very good GSC Utd side in the first round and came up short, RMFC then dropped into the GDSFC Vase, conceding just 1 goal on the way to winning the competition. However, perhaps the teams biggest achievement of the season was raising £2100 for the charity Moni Malawi in a New Year charity match against the TalkCeltic football forum (a match won 2:1 by RM).
2010/2011
Jim Ramsay, joined as manager, with Alex Fulton stepping down to assistant. With the formation of HSV Rangers, RMFC had to bring in several new players to replace the 5-6 who had left. It was very much a transition period for the squad.
The season never really got going for the squad, who struggled for form and finding a formation that worked. However a good run in the League Cup came to an end in the Semi Finals, when RMFC were forced to forfeit the tie due to lack of time to play the match. Several circumstances ranging from a hard winter to floodlight failures had meant RM had a huge fixture backlog and the only available slots to play the match were midweek.
2011/2012
Another season, another new manager. This time Jims' brother David taking over.
A fantastic start in the league cup seen cause for optimism for the league campaign, but a disastrous 9-1 defeat on the opening day of the season to Finnieston Utd, seen all confidence sapped from the team. The next two months were a struggle, with points being hard to come by. However, then it started to click, suddenly a couple of months later the team that were bottom of the league were looking like league contenders. Topping the league with a couple of matches to go.
TBC.
