Billy Boys
From RangersPedia
The Rangers fans' anthem. Supposedly banned by UEFA in 2006, this song is no longer heard up and down the country. It's a pity that such an intimidating song that gets you right in the mood has almost vanished overnight. With the threat of fines, stand closures and point deductions hanging over the club if this song is sung, many see no point in risking going to jail. The Billy Boys is in reference to Billy Fullerton, a leader of a Protestant street gang in the 1920's. The song lives on in RSC's around the world.
Hang on a minute, is it making a comeback? It was clearly heard at the end of the 1-1 draw with Hibs, in the cup versus Dundee and now against Dundee United. I wonder what Graham Spiers (the discredited journalist) makes of it all...
Lyrics
Hullo, Hullo
We are the Billy Boys
Hullo, Hullo
You'll know us by our noise
We're up to our knees in fenian blood
Surrender or you'll die
For we are the Brigton Derry Boys
